  1. Mark Ewing President
    Mark Ewing is the founder, president, and CEO of MedStar Solutions. Mark has over 15 years of management experience in EMS, including the Director of Operations for the largest privately owned ambulance companies in Southern California. Mark also has spent much of his career as both a full-time and volunteer firefighter, fire training officer, and director of training. Mr. Ewing has developed training programs for both fire and ambulance, he has designed on-line e-Learning, HR processes, clinical training & skills assessments and compliance programs. Mark has also designed communications systems and training for fire, 9-1-1, EMS agencies. Mark has been instrumental in creating Train-the-Trainer programs for EMS and holds numerous instructor credentials from FEMA, DOT, ASHI, and others. Mark received his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management and minored in Telecommunications. Mark's earlier years were spent working with ESPN, NBC, and other sports networks producing and editing. When not focused on work Mark enjoys time outdoors and singing in his gold medal chorus or a quartet.
  2. Dr. Andy Jou, DO, FACEP Medical Director
    Dr. Andy Jou, DO is a board-certified emergency medicine physician currently serving as the Medical Director of the emergency departments at Phoenix St. Luke™s Medical Center and Tempe St. Lukes in Arizona. Dr. Jou matriculated at A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathy in 2008. He then completed residency training in emergency medicine with the University of Illinois College of Medicine - Peoria at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Prior to obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Jou obtained his certification as a paramedic through the NREMT and EMS Lead Instructor license through the Illinois Department of Public Health. Dr. Jou not only brings experience from prehospital medicine but also several years of event medicine. He has served as an on-site physician for events such as Tough Mudder and Summer Camp Music Festival. He has also worked in multiple venues at the University of Illinois He is also active in providing continuing medical education for the Fire Departments of Phoenix, Tempe, and Guadalupe. When not engaged in medical practice and oversight, Dr. Jou enjoys taking advantage of Arizona's multiple hiking and camping opportunities, playing volleyball and being a stereotypical foodie.
